Pitch Reflection Guide [WEEK 6]

 • How do you think the Pitch went overall?

In my opinion I thought the pitch went ok but it certainly could have been better. The delivery of our pitch by almost all of our team members was excellent but i feel i stumbled over my words and i panicked.

• What did you contribute to the Pitch?

I tried to answer most of the questions asked by the brief in the pitch, although not shown i did write a good proportion of the slides. I also made sure to do some research into benchmark games and considerations for our project. On top of this i created a lot of art from some character designs, game mockup, and some environment designs.

• What went well?

I thought our idea for the game was fairly unique and i think we described how it might work well with the inclusion of the mechanic sketches and artwork.

• What would you do if you could do it again?

We worried there might be too many slides in the original presentation so we cut out a good chunk of slides but i think this left our pitch missing quite large gaps of information, My delivery of the slides could have been better and i could have contributed more in the delivery of the pitch. I will need to work on my presentation skills massively.

• What feedback did you receive?

Our tutor asked us a little about our representation of anxiety in the game and what research we did, i think we should make it more clear that this game is based on our own experiences with social anxiety, change and responsibilities.

• Will you use this feedback to develop the game? If so, how?

I think we could maybe add a little blurb at the start of the game talking about how anxiety is represented and why we made this game to fit the topic. Not only is this informative but i think it could also add a more personal touch to the game.
