Phone and sketchbook scene [WEEK 17]

 Phone Scene -

For the phone scene i roughly put together this block out using a photo i had taken, I had already drawn up a rough version of this scene in the rough draft of our game and so i just built upon that already existing layout. This scene is a little darker in terms of colour pallet as it is supposed to represent a sadder mood, though i did still try to keep that highly saturated look.


Sketchbook scene -

The sketchbook scene is also very similar to what i had in the rough draft, I only had to zoom in on the sketchbook on the bed [which retained a high quality as the original image was drawn on an a3 canvas then shrunk down to 1920x1080] I also added in some more details to the eraser and edited in some sketches from my own sketchbook. I just picked two sketches at random and roughly erased the edges so that they blend with the page better, i really like that you can tell these are traditional sketches and the greyish lighting from the original photographs almost looks like smudged graphite.

This is how the scenes look in game so far, Later on i will add in Nathan's UI designs to make these scenes more impactful.

Gantt Chart -

Now that i have these quicker backgrounds done, I will make sure to get the wardrobe scene done hopefully this weekend so that i can catch up on the work that i said i would do a few weeks ago. I'm still feeling confident we can get everything done for the next deadline however, as long as I am consistent with making these backgrounds i should be ok.
