Logo considerations [WEEK 2]
Luna moth Studios Logo:
For my version of the studio logo I wanted to go with something simple yet recognisable. As our studio name is Luna moth, I thought that i should include both a moth and a moon as the main symbols. I first made a set of 4 quick sketches for ideas on how the logo should look and i presented them to my team. Myself personally i really liked the first design, but the second design seemed to be most popular amongst my group, as such i chose this design to work on some colour iterations.
As a Lunar moth is green i though that should be the one consistent aspect throughout all of my iterations, with slight variation in saturation and slight adjustments to hue with the gradient map tool. The moon in the background needed to be the secondary focus so i tried to pick a variety of colours that would not draw too much away from the main focus of the moth. Once again i presented this to my team and also had some advice from some people in my class on which of the designs stood out most to them. The general consensus of this was that design number 12 was the most effective design that was readable and stood out well. I also really like this design as i think the warm red against the cool green makes for a very clear differentiation of the elements of the design. However i did get some feedback on how to improve the readability even more, I was suggested to add some craters to the moon to make it seem more obvious to the viewer what they are looking at. With this in mind i created the final more cleaned up drawing of the logo. This is also coupled with the written logo i created.

This is the final version of the logo i created, in the end we chose another design by one of the other team members, but i really enjoyed this task of creating a logo and i am very happy with the outcome.
