DEVLOG 6- Trello Deadlines

  Using my Gantt chart as reference, I added some deadlines onto my Trello board and re-formatted it to make it more readable. It is now separated by task as opposed to the To do/Doing/Done format.

MPG brief - Game Artist Brief

Brief- Deadline: 21st November 2025 Of the two briefs given to us, I'm going to be doing the Realistic Assault rifle prop. My reason for choosing this brief is that I feel more confident with hard surface modelling than some of the organic shapes in the room brief. I think this will allow me to challenge myself whilst also not throwing myself entirely into the deep end and risking not getting the project finished on time. Some important details to note about this brief: Poly budget - 30k - 35k Texture size - 3 x 2k pbr based udims Gathering references- Looking at different kinds of assault rifles, I think that this gun most closely resembles an AK-103 with a scope attachment on top. With this in mind, I had a look at some images of this kind of gun mixed with AK-47's and zoom ins of clear magazines and scopes. MPG brief - Evaluation [Week 5]

 Here are the contents of my final PowerPoint presentation: Evaluation: I've really enjoyed this project and regarding my final drawing I'm overall really happy with my concept and layout. I decided to do something different for this first project, I usually don't choose fantasy as a genre with these projects and it was really interesting to try something new. I felt I explored a large range of ideas in my thumbnails, but also narrowed it down to something that was still visually and conceptually unique. I think my silhouette work and rendering has improved the most within this project, I was happy with the texturing on the tree and I think the little details like the warped and cracked bark really helps the gnarled tree visuals. However I think my anatomy, especially in the hands region, could do with some work.
