MPG brief - Character sheet [Week 3]
Sketches -
Quick sketches to place down the poses of both the shackled corpse and her living counterpart. I wanted to give a very uncomfortable pose to the hanging corpse highlighting her rotting status, opposing this, her living pose is much more lively and serves to highlight her intimidating presence.
Final sheet -
Here is my final sheet, I included a few extra details in this piece to really give a good impression of the vibe of my character. I included forest scenery around the tree as well as including both her living and deceased design. There are two versions of the tree, one with and one without the spectre.
Zoom ins-
Here are some zoom ins of the characters as well as a small poem I wrote about the princess.
I also thought it necessary to explain some of the hypothetical mechanics behind my design choices, how they would function in-game and a close up of her pendant.
Further feedback:
My tutor gave me some feedback on things to improve, one of which being the positioning and rendering of the hand on this drawing. He suggested softening some of the harsher lines to improve the overall look of the pose, I will make sure to implement this feedback before I hand in my project.
Aside from this, I also downsized the amount of slides on my PowerPoint to make it more comprehensive for my client. Any removed images can still be found under the MPG brief tag on my blog.
