MPG brief - Feedback [Week 3]

This week I got some advice on my project and how I can improve my designs. We added our designs to a group Padlet and gave each other constructive criticism on how to improve. Below are the comments on my designs. The main elements of feedback i recieved were people's opinions on the dress designs [number 1 and 3 being the most popular by far so i think i will combine the two for my final design], the skin tones [which i think i will go for number 2], and some feedback on softening the lines on the shoulders and knees on my character designs sheet.

Implementing feedback:

Here i have softened the lines on the knees and shoulders by just going over top of them with the marker brush. I agree it makes the body look more proportionate. I think her anatomy in general is still a little odd as I tried to add on muscle and fat using the corpse as a reference, i think if i were to draw this again i would give her more fat around her torso as it is still wrapping to the ribcage a little tightly. Considering the fat distribution on the rest of her body, it makes it so her midriff is disproportionately skinny, i will see if i can fix this using the same technique as the softening of the arm lines, but luckily it shouldn't matter much either way as the dress will be covering her body in the final piece.

My next step from here is to create a character sheet, then i will make some final piece thumbnails, and then begin working on my final illustration.
