Final Plant Journal Pages [WEEK 16]
Snakeskin Tree and Saharan Arum -

These are the final 4 drawings to be put in the journal plant entries, they are depicting two of the large plants that i have modelled that are based on the thumbnails i did earlier in this project. I did have some slight issues with the bottom two drawings as i forgot to save the black and white version of the sketch that i did, this meant i had to do some edits to the coloured version by lowering the saturation and adding in more range of tone in the petals to differentiate them from one another. These, much like the other journal sketches i did are digital draw overs of traditional sketches i did in my sketchbook, as seen below.

Saharan arum -
Name - Saharan Arum
Rarity - 5 Stars
Rarity - 5 Stars
Location - Deep Jungle
Information -
Blooming just once every decade, the Saharan Arum is a large foul smelling flower that grows to a height of over 8ft tall. With a scent similar to that of decaying flesh and rotting fruit, the flower lures in a variety of scavenging flies and insects and catches them in it's sticky nectar to consume them. A distant relative to the Titan Arum, the Saharan arum is much more suited to artificially generated weather patterns and sandy soils.
Snakeskin Tree -
Name - Snakeskin tree, Mennegoxylon Reptillia
Rarity - 3 Stars
Rarity - 3 Stars
Location - Savannah
Information -
Brought back from extinction by Verdancy Corporation scientists, the snakeskin tree has a long scaled trunk that curves to host long vines that sway in the wind, picking up pollen from nearby trees. Once a towering figure amongst the dinosaurs, the Saharan Snakeskin tree is now host for some of the many species of birds and parrots that reside within the deep Saharan jungle that use it's rough bark to maintain their talons.
