Classroom Layout [WEEK 7]

 Here are some top down sketches for the layout of our classroom environment, i wanted to include a variety of room shapes, configurations and contents. On a whole i imagine this school would be an art school so the students would need access to wide tables and perhaps computers to help their studies. I was somewhat inspired by some of the layouts of confetti classrooms leaning into the more autobiographical aspects, i didnt want these rooms to be an exact copy of the classrooms we use but rather something that sort of hints to them. These are just very basic sketches and once i have settled on a design with the feedback of my peers, i will decorate the chosen one to add environmental storytelling before moving onto creating the actual assets for this scene.

as well as feedback from my team and classmates, i wanted to get some advice from people who didnt really know a lot about this project as i feel without them knowing the context i can get valuable advice to improve the readability of our game.

Francis - "Top right one!" [For context i had asked him which one stood out most to him and looked most interesting]

Nat [an online friend] - "I'm liking the third on the top"

Vinny [another online friend] - "I like the big window one"

Sapphire [stranger] - "First One, Top Left"

Oli - "i think the bottom left and the one to the right of it are good as those are good seating plans for people to communicate in which is what the games about"

Seb - "Hmm I like the second one however I’m not sure by the amount of chairs/computers

Maybe if it was cut down a bit but keeping the layout ?I like the circle tables too tho if we’re doing like artists drawing and such"

Most of the feedback i got seemed to be towards the top right room [Big window room] however the feedback Seb gave me about the round tables was also very helpful. I think with this in mind i will most likely go for the big window layout and frame it so you can see the round tables in the back so more characters can be seen drawing in the background.
